Release Title: NASA SEWP Reduces Service Fee

Lanham, MD - The NASA SEWP (Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement) Program Office announced today that it would be reducing its base service fee from 0.50% to 0.45% while also continuing the $10,000 fee cap per order. The fee reduction is effective on November 1, 2010.

The SEWP IV Government-Wide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs) were awarded in May 2007 and consist of 38 pre-competed Contracts offering a wide range of advanced technology including desktops and servers, network equipment, storage devices, security tools, software, and other IT products and product-based solutions to all Federal Agencies and authorized Federal Agency support service contractors.

SEWP is one of the lowest fee for service Programs in the Federal Government. "This past year we implemented online chat capabilities so that users can call, email or instant message our staff when they have SEWP questions" said Joanne Woytek, the NASA SEWP Program Manager. "Our premier customer-service provides the Federal Government with the best possible service at the lowest possible cost." Last year (FY10), SEWP lowered its fee which resulted in saving Federal Agencies more than $1 million in procurement costs. The newly announced lower fee for Fiscal Year 2011 will continue SEWP's trend of providing procurement cost savings to the entire Federal Government. In addition to customer service, the SEWP Program Office provides a dynamic website with interactive quoting, order tracking and reporting tools.
